Were you a fan of wrestling growing up?
Yes. I remember when I was 7or 8 my neighbor and I use to watch Iceman King
Parsons and the Von Erichs on WCCW in the evening and the next afetrnoon, he
would be pile driving me in his concrete driveway.
How did you get started in the wrestling business?
Kaiju Big Battel in 2002 (I guess). I joined Chaotic Training center the day
after my 30 birthday. After a Tom Prichard wrestling camp a month prior, I decided
(at 30) that I was going to be a professional wrestler.
Who trained you?
Walter "Killer" Kowalski taught me my 1st lock up and school boy.
What qualifies someone to be a good wrestling
trainer?
A veteran, patience, good communication skills, leadership, and a solid reputation.
What was the hardest part of your training?
Me. I get frustrated easily.
Tell us about your first match
Triple threat match- Big Scott Grimez (managed by Johnny Fabulous aka John Cena
Sr.), Mark Gore And Johnny Nash.
Where does your ring name come from?
My family, friends, and things that I've seen in my life. My father was from
a family of 14. My uncles had such professions as Pimps drug dealers, and gangsters.
Ironic because my mother's side consisted of 2 American soldiers (one who is
a retired police officer), and electrician, and an entrepreneur. I guess if
you combine the 2, I'm the final result.
If you could be compared to any wrestler who
would you want it to be? why?
I don't want to be compared to anyone. I want to be the one who is compared
to but for the sake of the conversation I'll have to say The Undertaker and
the missing Link.
If you could work anybody past or present who
would you pick?
The Undertaker, and Andre the Giant.
Your thoughts on MMA and if you think its popularity
will hurt wrestling
I enjoy watching MMA and UFC but let's be honest, wrestling fans are of a different
caliper. They are the modern day Theater goers. What was once Kung Fu opera
in Beijing is now Rey Mysterio vs. Evan Bourne in Madison Square Garden.
Have you had a chance to see the Kardinal Sinners/
Wrestling Reality TV show? If so what are your thoughts on it?
Yes I have seen it and I must say that from what I have seen, it is (from a
worker's point of view) very heart warming. Most people don't know about what
non WWE personel go thru on a regular basis. The travel, the promoters, the
aches and pains/injuries, the demons, and most of all the grind. One guy who
stuck out in particular is Mike Hughes. this is one wrestler who brought a great
challenge to me when I was defending the MSW Heavyweight Championship as well
as brought me to the limits of my abilities. Whereas he wouldn't win my vote
for humanitarian of the year he (and Brody Steele) exemplifies balls to the
wall Canadian wrestling.
Your thoughs on if the WWE or TNA comes to town
should other local wrestlers go and sit in the audience?
Sure
Your thoughts on TNA trying to compete on Monday
nights with WWE.
I encourage any promotion with ratings and a fan base to compete with the WWE.
Who has been your favourite promoter to work
for?
Do you have a least favourite?
Yes but out of respect for every wrestler out here on the grind I refuse to
disclose their names.
Tell us about the wrestling territory you currently
work the most in
The territory I currently work in is New England and it has it's ups and downs
(not trying to incriminate myself).
Do you think that going to the gym is something
alot of indy workers overlook?
Yes. And I am glad u asked me this question. And all I have to say is this,
if you don't hit the gym (consistently, if not hard then definitely consistently)
then you wasting your time. YOU HAVE TO WORKOUT!!! You must have strenth to
endure and muscle to look the part. ESPECIALLY if you want to get signed by
the WWE because they are looking for bodies, not wrestlers, bodies. doesn't
matter if you can wrestle. Perfect, athletic, Cena, Batista, Coleman, Stallone,
Shawn Ray, Schwarzenegger, Dwayne Johnson, HHH, cookie cutter bodies are what
they are looking for. If you don't look the part then I suggest you stay away
from guys like me because if you look, sound, or dress like a back yard tard.
don't even think about stepping into the ring with me.
What has been your favorite match so far?
Grimez vs. Goldust
Could you share a good road trip story with us?
We made Sidewalk Sam quit smoking by making him run 1 mile with a cigarette
in his mouth.
What can people expect to see when they pay to
see you wrestle?
A big green monster
You recently had a WWE tryout, could you tell
us how that went
The tryout went great. the waiting period (include everything I'm not mentioning)
sucks!!!
What is your main goal you wish to reach in wrestling?
To reach the masses (the world).
Any closing comments?
I love every moment that I spend in the Maritime, and I cherish every moment
that I get to wrestler in Canada. I'll see everybody in the spring, not Maritime,
but Grime time!!!!
