He is the man who is well known as NEW SCOTT in Maritime Wrestling. He is isn't a wrestler but a guy who is famous with his camera work. Ladies and Gentlemen, it is my honor to have a NEW SCOTT first... So let us get on with this interview!

Ryan Volkime: How did you get into the Maritime Wrestling scene?

New Scott: Well it happened May 3rd 2001, I went to the GPW event at the Halifax Forum and I brought along my WWF title belt. Mike Zinck saw me with the belt and he really liked it. He took it out back and showed me some of the boys. When we came back out we just talked for a little. I went back to each of the next two shows they had in Halifax and got to know Mike a little better. He told me about a show that was happening in Bridgewater and asked me to come, which turned into the famous Bridgewater riot. Picture 2,500 drunk fans and no security. After the Bridgewater show I met a guy named Jeremiah Delinquent and gave him a drive home/ sobeys. JDL and myself became good friends after that.

RV: How did you get the name "New Scott"?

NS: This is a question I get all of the time. Well it happened on October 17th, 2001. There was a MSW show in Milford. I had been talking to Lincoln Steen on line and asked him if it would be ok if I taped the show, he said it was fine. So I went to the show with JDL & Mike Zinck. It was there I met Lincoln Steen for the first time. He told me this story about a guy named Scott that use to go around with the wrestlers and help them in anyway like drive them home, set up rings, etc. Then I came around and started driving the wrestlers around and setting up rings with Scott, so Steen decided I was "New Scott" and it just kind of stuck, and now everyone calls me New Scott. Steen also taught me the special art of stacking chairs that day.

RV: Do you think someday, someone from RAW, MSW or anywhere else in the Maritimes will make it to the big times?

NS: I think that Bobby Rude will be in the WWE soon enough. Also if JDL and Steen keep going at the rate they are they will be in the big time someday as well. Also, even though she hasn't been in the Maritimes that long Sweet Sarah is by far the toughest girl I have ever seen, just watch the ladder match from Seaside Slam 2002, she will be up there someday as well.

RV: What did you think of the match between Lincoln Steen, JDL and Sweet Sarah?

NS: Best match I have seen in a long time. It was by the best match, in my opinion, that any promotion put on this summer. It was originally supposed to be Flexx instead of Sarah, but due to a car accident Flexx could not compete. I could not see that match be any better than it was. Sarah had some big shoes to fill in taking Flexx's spot and she did better than anyone could have ever imagined. You can even hear during the tape of the match some fan yelling "this kills the Gary and Chi Chi Cruz's match". I am not saying they were right because Cruz and Williams had one of the best matches in Maritime wrestling history that night, but for someone to compare a match to the ladder cage match must mean it was great.

RV: Kyle Kruze in the PWI 500 magazine... blessing or curse?

NS: It's not bad, the picture is really funny. At least he made the magazine in some capacity.

RV: Would you ever get into wrestling besides using the camera?

NS: Well I have travelled all around this province with JDL & Steen, and I must say I can't imagine doing anything else other than filming. The road trips are going to make me rich someday. And I quote "puff puff give!" but other than film I do enjoy making my website and I just started to make entrance theme's. But I don't think you'll ever see New Scott wrestle for two reasons I am way too small, and it hurts way too much, the training these guys through and then to do it night after night, they deserve more respect than any other athlete on this planet. Example, a baseball player gets a blister or a paper cut making 5,000,000 dollars a year will go on the DL list for 2 weeks. JDL gets hit in the back of the head with a ladder, making next to nothing and continues the match and wrestles the next day.

RV: Would you ever work for the WWE as a camera guy or roadie?

NS: It is my dream to work for the WWE in anyway I could. Being a camera guy in the WWE could be the greatest thing that could ever happen to me.

RV: Who was your favourite wrestler that you've interviewed on your site?

NS: I enjoyed Chi Chi Cruz's interview his answer about training was great. Mike Hughes because he is never afraid to speak his mind. But the one that stands is Scott Savage's especially the question on "is wrestling fake". Savage also wrote 7 pages about Taylor Mathney (finalist from Tough Enough one) in the Name Association, but I had to cut some of it out so it would fit on the site.

RV: Anything you wish to plug before we end this interview?

NS: Make sure you keep checking out my site at www.newscott.com for all your information needs on Maritime Wrestling. Keep checking New Scott Video as it just keeps growing and growing. I am always tradind tapes so if you want to trade check the site. Also Wrestle Pool Season 3 is up and starts at No Mercy in October, there are only a few spots left so if you want to join I suggest you do it soon.

Well, New Scott... I wish you the best in the future!
